Major plan for smooth traffic in noida.

Jyapee greens greater noida News:- Noida authority has undertaken a slew of infrastructural projects like bridges, flyovers, underpasses, widening of sector roads, which are expected to make the city signal free in the near future and, expectedly, lift the profile of the real estate of the whole area. A K TIWARY writes
To reduce the overloading traffic system and improve the quality of life, Noida authority is set to declare the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida as traffic-free cities. The authorities plan to construct a number of underpasses, FOB (foot over bridges), multilevel parking, major road linkages, and elevated roads on all main roads to achieve this objective.Inevitably, this will have a positive effect on the real estate development in the whole region and lift the profile of the properties here.According to a survey, the traffic volume during peak hours here in the last few years has increased many fold on all the roads.Keeping this traffic congestion in mind, Noida authority has already constructed a number of underpasses and flyovers in the recent past. But this is not enough for the ever increasing traffic density and the authority has approved Rs 45.42 crore for the construction of a new underpass at the busy intersection of Sectors 25 A24 and Sectors 2433A on Master Plan (MP) 2 Road. The proposed underpass is expected to ensure a signal-free ride for around 40,000 daily commuters who face heavy traffic and wait for a long time at traffic signals.

Apart from this, a number of underpasses have been planned on MP 3 Road (Golf Course to NH-24).According to the work plan prepared by the Planning and Engineering Department of Noida authority, three half flyovers-one on T-points of Sectors 54, 60, and 61, another one on Sectors 61, 53, and 54 towards MP 2 Road, and a third one towards Sector 15A-have been planned.Noida authority has also approved the construction of a 5.8km elevated road parallel to the Shahdara drain. Starting from Sectors 14 and 14A on to Sector 95 and Kalindi Kunj, the stretch will be of four lanes and cost Rs 525 crore. This route will provide an al tentative route between Kalindi Kunj and Noida, thus easing traffic congestion on the expressway.Rama Raman, the chairman and CEO of Noida, says: “Noida authority has already sanctioned the construction of a traffic junction at Sector 71 crossing. Thousands of commuters, who now have to face traffic snarls at Sector 71 crossing in peak hours, will be able to use the new junction.
