Jaypee greens greater noida:-Multimodal travelling could finally be possible for commuters in the city. Delhi Metro is coming up with a map to help commuters plan journeys—using the Metro corridors, Metro’s feeder service and DTC bus service. At present, lack of information about connectivity between Metro and DTC routes makes commuting difficult. The map will connect the entire Delhi Metro network, including Phase III, with Metro’s feeder bus service. It will also map the DTC buses that are available near a particular station or which can be accessed using the feeder service. Built in layers, the map will plot important tourist spots and other places of interest, including the nearest railway station. The map, which will be hosted on Metro’s website and will be made an interactive module later, is the first attempt at coding the diverse DTC routes which intersect the Metro corridors at several points. “Delhi Metro is making an integrated map which will show information about its network, including Phase III lines, feeder bus and DTC bus routes. This will help commuters,” said Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal. The levels of the map will be as per connections, added the official. For instance, the first level will be the connection between the feeder bus service and the Metro station. The next level will be the connectivity between the Metro station and DTC routes available at the nearest bus stop.“For instance, the DTC bus routes that touch the Delhi Gurgaon corridor could be coded with the colour of the line, which is yellow in this case,” said an official.“The first edition of the map will be ready in a couple of months,” said Dayal. It will be displayed at Metro stations and other locations, he added.DMRC has also decided to colour code its corridors in Phase III as it helps commuters identify a corridor easily. The Phase III corridors will be colour coded “pink” for Line 7 (Mukundpur to Shiv Vihar) and “magenta” for Line 8 (Janakpuri west to Botanical Garden). For more info jaypee greens greater noida projects in greater noida.
