JAYPEE SPORTS CITY :-
Hundreds of flat buyers under the banner of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) assembled on Sunday at Greater Noida West to protest against the one of the major issues raised by NEFOWA is the additional 'land acquisition charges' that builders are allegedly adding to the final settlement bills before handing over the flats.
"In October 2011, Allahabad high court had ordered builders to pay additional compensation to farmers as land acquisition charges," said Shweta Bharti, general secretary of NEFOWA. "But during an earlier protest, builders had verbally agreed not to levy additional charges on buyers," she added.
"Not only that, the UP apartment act of 2010 specifies that no extra charge can be levied on buyers unless it is agreed upon beforehand between buyer and seller. Yet, while handing over flats, many builders have been recovering additional amounts from buyers under land acquisition charges," said Indrish Gupta, co-founder of NEFOWA. Powered By Times of India
